Phase sequence indicators are suitable for monitoring the correct connection of a three phase a.c. supply. Incorrect phase connection or the loss of one phase will often cause serious damage to motors in compressors, generators, pumps, and heating and ventilation equipment. The presence or absence of the three phases is indicated by three amber LEDs. Only when all three phases are present and in the correct sequence will the green LED illuminate. Any loss of phase or incorrect sequence is indicated by a red LED.
